Once these lowland forests were the favoured areas for colonial big game hunters and international trophy collectors who came to hunt the large mammals once common in the region. Later the jungle provided shelter and refuge for the Vietcong during their war for independence.

Today it provides one of the last areas of lowland forest in Vietnam where you can see some of Indochina’s flora and fauna and the conservation efforts being develop to protect them.

Forest Floor Lodge offers a perfect location for visiting the jungle itself and have arranged in partnership with the National Park HQ some interesting treks for birdwatchers, biologists and casual trekkers to experience this important region at first hand.
